A young couple, on the verge of bringing their first child into the world, are at a loss to find the joy of it when terrifying news from the doctor, as well as unspoken secrets, begin to tear the relationship apart. Meanwhile, an older couple, having received an even graver medical prognosis, look back on their lives and wonder if there's still time to tie up loose ends. When the couples' paths entwine, nothing will ever be the same again.
When five prisoners are locked in a room, and are unable to communicate as none of them speak the same language, the situation is intensified when the haunting stone altar in the centre of the room demands a sacrifice. A documentary about 6 young filmmakers and their team as they embarked on a journey to create their own feature film, Follow the Dead, a story about Millennials in Ireland encountering an undead phenomenon. As they discover their processes creating the film we begin to discover that what they may have been more enamoured with something else they had created.... a family.
