This 4K video features around an hour of footage of the steam locomotive No. 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ on a special charter day on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. The charter day, during March 2018, shows the engine and its goods train at various locations along the line. We have produced the film in the order that the clips were taken, and it shows well how a charter day works, with the train making multiple passes of each photo point the train stopped at.

Two visitors joined the homefleet for an action packed weekend of steam at the Great Central Railway, and this new 3 Disc Set showcases the action with around 2.5 hours of footage. Visiting locomotives BR Standard 4 No. 80080, courtesy of the Princess Royal Locomotive Class Trust, and SR Battle of Britain No. 34072 257 Squadron, courtesy of the Swanage Railway and Southern Locomotives Ltd joined the home fleet of BR 9F 92214 City of Leicester, LMS 8F No. 48305, BR Class 5 No. 71356, GWR Hall No. 6990 Witherslack Hall, Ivatt 2 No. 46521, BR Standard 2 No. 78018 and the Metro Cammell Railcar to operate an intensive timetable.

This set features all running locomotives for the event, including – Cockerill Type IV Lucie (visiting from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and as seen in the TV series, Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard) – Terrier 2678 (visiting from the Kent and East Sussex Railway) – Keighley Gasworks No. 2 (visiting from the Tanfield Railway) – Hunslet Beatrice – A surprise appearance from the EBAR’s resident Class 08.

Throughout 2017, we were lucky enough to visit a variety of different standard gauge railways in England and Wales. The first railway to feature is the East Lancashire Railway, where we visited for the Spring Steam Gala, Spring Diesel Gala, Autumn Steam Gala and their DMU Gala. Second up is the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, where we visited for their Spring Steam Gala and their Flying Scotsman visit. Third up is the Llangollen Railway, where we visited for a day trip during our Summer holiday and their Autumn Steam Gala. The National Railway Museum was also on our visit list for 2017. Out on the mainline, we were lucky enough to catch 45690 Leander on the North Wales Coast Express at Llandudno Junction, Conwy Castle and Holyhead.

In September 2017, the Thompson Park Railway played host to the Annual General Meeting of the 7¼” Gauge Society. Produced by RailAdvent for the Thompson Park Railway and the 7¼” Gauge Society, this video contains an hours worth of high-quality content of all days of the event, which saw more than 40 locomotives descend on the miniature railway in Burnley.
