Das Reich Goryeo wird im 14. Jahrhundert von Yuan, dem chinesischen Reich regiert. Immer wieder kommt es zu Attentaten auf den König Goryeos, da Yuan auch den Thron Goryeos besteigen will. Doch die Leibgarde des Königs kann all diese versuche vereiteln. Nun wird der König Goryeos mit der Prinzessin Yuans vermählt, somit hat das Yuan die Macht den König abzusetzen, sollte er keinen Thronfolger Zeugen.
