Este le comenta al chico que el reloj que lleva en su muñeca le ayudará a ver todo tipo de criaturas sobrenaturales, tanto buenas como malas. A partir de ese instante, Keita vivirá una gran aventura. Tendrá que viajar 60 años atrás en el tiempo para conocer a su propio abuelo de joven, y entre los dos tratar de salvar a la humanidad.

La película está compuesta por dos historias: “Ishi Okoshi” y “Ayashiki Raihousha”. En “Ishi Okoshi”, Natsume se encuentra con un pequeño youkai llamado Mitsumi en un bosque. Mitsumi tiene como deber despertar al divino youkai “Iwatetsu” de su profundo sueño, cosa a la que accede ayudar Natsume. En “Ayashiki Raihousha”, un visitante misterioso aparece frente a Tanuma. Casi todos los días, visita a Tanuma, le habla un poco y luego se va. Natsume, que sabe que el visitante es un youkai, se preocupa por Tanuma, pero Tanuma disfruta de estas charlas con la entidad. El youkai no quiere hacerle daño, pero la salud de Tanuma comienza a deteriorarse lentamente.
