A young man grows up in Sarajevo in the 1960s, under the shadow of his good, but ailing father, and gets attracted by the world of small-time criminals.

A village blacksmith Sekula, hard-muscled but soft-hearted, has terrible luck when it comes to love. Many women pass through his house - a local spinster of ill health, a belly dancer, a veterinarian experienced in the castration of bulls a singing star-to-be - but stay just long enough to give birth to another child, only to then run away.

After a train breaks down and the passengers are forced to spend a day at a remote country tavern, the mix of seasonal farm workers, transients, musicians, and would-be party kingpins heads toward some explosive moments. Dumpling, discovering that he is physically similar to doctor, and seeing his big chance in it, disables the doctor and takes his place at the sanatorium.

Misa in the music school falls in love with a young Russian girl Natasha, who was then located in Belgrade. But their parents think that they are too young for love. Natasha's parents do not allow that connection, so they go back to Moscow. Unlike parents who want to end their relationship Zika and Milan are on their side. Zika begins to learn the Russian language.

A lady manager of newly formed record house places his administrator, disguised as a cleaning lady, in competing record house. She needs to get the records of some world-famous star, and to provide in that way banking credits for building of studio. After many troubles and comic situations, in which the alleged cleaning lady gets because of her good looks, the manager will finally spend a few years in prison.

At 56 years of age Mita Pantić (Nikola Simić) is still only a junior clerk in his company. Another typical workday for him is starting at 6 a.m. as frustration awaits at every turn from the moment he gets up. Other members of the household are not without their frustrations either, meaning that nagging and shouting are a staple of their home life at any time of day.

They should say goodbye to a part of life, part from their friends, and there is also uncertainty, hope, plans, wild love "for the rest of the life", and parents with their ambitions, and it would be all incomplete, if not for professors who are slowly losing their authority. Senior prom is the central place for serious and funny events in which parents, professors and pupils are involved.
