When a boy child is stolen by bears who raise him as their own, his human parents hunt the bears in despair, and the boy is faced with the dilemma of who and what he is.

Rosa is a little flower fairy who always lived alone in her rose bush. More than anything she dreams of having a friend, but she is too scared to ever leave her bush and never found one. One day the cool and adventurous butterfly Silk crosses paths with Rosa and they immediately become friends despite their differences. Silk wants to go on adventures and Rosa just wants to stay in her safe bush. But when Silk is kidnapped by an evil Stone Troll, Rosa has to let go of her fears and set out on a dangerous journey to save her best friend.

Cirkeline finds a bestie with the airs of a princess, and Ingolf meets a rhinoceros who's fed up with always being the little one. They set off together on a journey that teaches them that being in charge isn't always a piece of cake.

Circleen the elf girl and her comical mouse pals, Ingolf and Frederik, live under the geraniums on an artist's balcony. Their idyllic lives are interrupted when they meet the myopic Cindermouse, whose grumpy dad refuses to hold her birthday and instead locks her up in a box. Short, plump, cheese-loving Ingolf is forced to act and to show that he is a real hero.

On the cold outskirts of town, something is about to happen. In our own way we are all waiting for something to happen.

The mini beetle Mini appears in a flea circus together with Egon and Dagmar. The flea-girl Miranda bullies Mini and tricks him into interfering in Dagmar's line dancing, making her fall and sprain her foot. Deeply ashamed, Mini runs away and meets a gang of robbers. The brutal beetle, Basse, who orders Mini to break into the bees' honey stock, leads the gang. However, the bee-soldiers catch him, and he is sentenced to life-long hard labour. Meanwhile, Miranda regrets her bullying of Mini and together with Mini, who has managed to escape, and their brave friends, the ants, they succeed in recovering Egon's beloved racing bike, which has been stolen by the robbers.

Silke just loves water. She loves to bathe and to swim like a fish. As a matter of fact, she only feels fit and well when she is in the water. This is because she has an eczema which makes her skin itch. Her father and mother are worried about her and take her to the doctor. But strange things happen, and a dolphin, a dog and an old, long ago deceased pirate-grandfather emerges in the story. This is because Silk is not like other children - especially not when she hears the song from the sea.

She's back - the lovable little elf who sleeps in a matchbox on the artist's desk: and of course her playmates, too, the comical mouse couple Fredrik and Ingolf. The trio are moving into the city. It's a mjor step for Circleen and the mice, and one which has its pros and cons. The city is a dangerous place, but it also has cute, amusing, cheeky playmates such as Sidse, whose family boasts a pirate, and Hassan's family, who introduce food-loving Ingolf to feta cheese and belly-dancing.

In this evocative film about the eternal human search for home, Berta and Solomon arrive in a land that promises respite from their many journeys. But have they found utopia... or just another stop on their long journey?

In this second short film in the Birdland series two birds escape and fly away to the rainbow. The story is set to the sound of "Over the Rainbow" played by legendary jazz pianist Art Tatum.

Circleen goes on holiday to Turkey with her artist. Her chums Ingolf, Fredrik, and Viktor decide to go to see her, and stow away on board granddad's ship, where they meet another stowaway, the tough, fearless mouse Ali, who has set off into the world in search of happiness. Our friends are dragged into Ali's adventures and agree to help him to obtain cheese on board. But granddad is furious: he doesn't want kids on board, and the cat, the cook, and the captain aren't exactly mouse lovers either. Meanwhile, Ali has a secret!

In this animated short by Danish animation legend Jannik Hastrup an old lady, a cat and two birds in love experience the wonderful and love inducing spring in Paris set to the tones of Vernon Duke's classic jazz piece.

An elegant, visual interpretation of Jacob Gade's Tango Jalousie from 1925, which axpresses passionately the drama of jealousy. An elderly violinist strikes the tune and he dances over the screen as a young man. People meet, hearts on fire, rejection and defeat, maturity and tranquility.

In a colourful and vibrant town, all the people and animals can whistle - with one exception, namely the small bird called Whistleless. He flies around trying to whistle, but he is hopeless to the point that all the others give up teaching him.

Dizzy Gillespie's brilliant trumpet is making up to nightly mysteries in the gleam of the half-moon where two courting flamingos are dancing while a grumpy parrot wants peace and quiet for his night's sleep. This is the fourth and last short film in the Birdland series by Danish animator Jannik Hastrup.

A visual journey that challenges us to think about a universal belonging that doesn’t confine itself to a city, region or national boundary, in an age in which xenophobia, nationalism and intolerance are a daily occurrence.

»Dream a Little Dream of Me« - a duet between the fat and dangerous cat, sung by Ella Fitzgerald and the bird, sung by Louis Armstong's characteristic, hoarse voice. This is the third short film in the Jannik Hastrup's Birdland series about jazz.
