Il ragazzo incontra Charlene, una barista che lo aiuterà a capire cosa è meglio per lui, vedendolo in continuo contrasto con la sua famiglia e le loro decisioni.
Josh e Cornelia, lui regista di documentari in crisi creativa, lei produttrice, formano una coppia che sembra avere tutto ma a cui pare mancare moltissimo, specie l'accettazione del tempo che passa.
