Eyal, an Israeli Mossad agent, is given the mission to track down and kill the very old Alfred Himmelman, an ex-Nazi officer, who might still be alive. Pretending to be a tourist guide, he befriends his grandson Axel, in Israel to visit his sister Pia. The two men set out on a tour of the country, during which Axel challenges Eyal's values.

Alex, a young woman aged 18, lives with her mother in Arad, a small town in the middle of the desert near the Dead Sea. One day her mother disappears without a word of explanation. Abandoned, Alex must now get by alone. But when she creeps into the houses at night, it's not so much to steal money but to appropriate the intimacy of others and their lives.

As the Dead Sea shrinks, engineers prepare a daring solution: connect it with the Red Sea by way of a massive desalination plant. If it works, it could stabilise the lake and ease regional tensions.
