Life is liberty in a cage. "Cage" represents a situation filled with constraints, a habit, or an addiction that is hard to get rid of. This project is to present a Chinese cultural and traditional visual style to audiences. On the other hand, "Cage" tries to inspire them to recall their memory and consider what the meaning of life is to them individually.
A short animated film
Staging a dancing figure who desperately tries to unite with its reflection, the film depicts a metaphor of my emotional experiences of coping with confusion and fear, and conveys my longing for a psychological self-alignment.
In a story about finding oneself, this four-minute erasure animation takes us through a young woman’s life who in the beginning is facing depression, but then upon returning to her childhood home and is uplifted by the memories of her grandmother. This independent animation is inspired by remembering loved lost ones. This is an animation which freezes time to capture the most fond moments of the young girl.
Correspondence is a three-minute and 22-second 3D animation set in an undefined war and deals with issues that arise when power and control are abused. This is illustrated by the main character who is unknowingly trapped in a situation where he risks his life for a frivolous cause.
