After again attempting to commit murder, a Jewish man with a mysterious past and extraordinary intelligence, charisma, and body control returns to an insane asylum, where he makes a startling discovery.

The human resources office at a remote desert base serves as the setting for this cast of characters, who bide their time pushing paper, battling for the top score in Minesweeper, and counting down the minutes until they can return to civilian life. Amidst their boredom and clashing personalities, issues of commitment—from friendship to love and country—are handled with humor and sharp-edged wit.

Shimon, a 70-year-old widower, travels to Paris to visit a childhood friend. He stays with his daughter and discovers that her marriage is falling apart. He decides to help. Ilan Ben-Natan is a man on his sixties and a well-known professor of astrophysics at the University of Haifa. He is married with Naomi, a 28 years old, attractive book illustrator. During the argument, the scientist kills his rival and takes away the corpse in the boot of his car. With the complicity of his 80 years old mother, Ilan buries the man in a hole just dig in the cemetery. After a series of casualties, the corpse is then found and the commissioner Anton Karam, an old friend of the professor, starts the police investigation. When every signs seems to lead to the discovery of the assassin, an unexpected event will call every element into question again.

The world of Hanna Mendelssohn, an 80 year old widow, disintegrates as the Kibbutz which she helped to found undergoes privatization.

David is discharged from the army after serving for 27 years. He returns to his home and family after being distanced from them for years, and tries to find himself in his new civilian life. He believes that, like his friends who retired from the military before him, he too will find his way in some managerial position in the private sector, but he has difficulties adapting to the pace of the “new Israel”, a competitive culture obsessed with success and money.

IT ALL BEGINS AT SEA is a drama with a few comic relieves, that tells 3 stories of the same 3 characters. In the first story, a 6 years old, goes to the beach with his parents. In the second story he is already 12 and out with his classmates on a fieldtrip, and in the last story he is 14 and moves with his family to a new apartment. In each story, a dramatic incident makes a change in the plot. .

In a small village, Hagar Erlich is somewhat of an alien, unable to find her place in the town community and in her own life as a newlywed. In the ruins of an enchanted, abandoned village she will find her secret hideaway.
