Den 17 oktober 1989 skulle San Francisco bjudas på den tredje matchen i finalserien mellan två lokala lag, Oakland Athletics mot San Francisco Giants. Men mitt under livesändningen skakas norra Kalifornien av en stor jordbävning som skulle rasera broar, hus och kräva 63 människoliv.

The Bay follows the affluent, yet dysfunctional Bay City residents living in a town cursed by the spirit of Senator Red Garrett, the grandfather of socialite Sara Garrett. Their lives are riddled with sex, lies, & never-ending scandals.

This two-part docuseries celebrates the musical and artistic renaissance that exploded in the Bay Area from the mid-sixties into the mid-seventies. Featuring the music of Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, Steve Miller, and many more.
