ครอบครัวชาวเกาหลีฐานะดีที่อาศัยอยู่ในแอลเอ ได้เจอกับเหตุการณ์แปลกประหลาดเหนือธรรมชาติซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า จึงได้ติดต่อสองคู่หูคนทรง ฮวาริม (คิม โก-อึน) และบงกิล (อี โด-ฮยอน)แล้วว่าจ้างทั้งคู่เพื่อหาวิธีปัดเป่าเรื่องร้าย ฮวาริมสัมผัสได้ถึงพลังงานร้ายของผีบรรพบุรุษที่คอยหลอกหลอนคนในตระกูล จึงขอความช่วยเหลือจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านฮวงจุ้ย ซังด็อก (ชเว มิน-ชิก) และสัปเหร่อ ยองกึน (ยู แฮ-จิน) ทั้งหมดเดินทางไปยังหลุมศพ ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในผืนที่ดินลึกลับ ณ หมู่บ้านที่รกร้างห่างไกลในเกาหลี เพื่อขุดโลงศพขึ้นมาทำพิธี ทว่า เหตุการณ์ทั้งหมดกลับพลิกผันเกินคาดคิด เมื่อการขุดโลงศพจากหลุมฝังครั้งนี้ นำไปสู่การปลดปล่อยสิ่งชั่วร้ายที่มุ่งอาฆาตจะเอาชีวิตทุกคน

A detective leaves the force to take over the family business as an undertaker at the same time as he is being investigated for murder. His close encounters with corpses and his earlier police training lead him to see things some of his ex-colleagues miss and he investigates the crimes he encounters in an unofficial capacity often to the dismay of the official police.

In Loving Memory is a British period sitcom set in an undertakers business that starred Thora Hird and Christopher Beeny. A pilot was transmitted in 1969 by Thames Television who rejected the idea before it was finally accepted by Yorkshire Television in 1979 where it further ran for five series between until 1986.
