The New Adventures of Batman - Season 1 Episode 9 He Who Laughs Last

A jailbreak occurs at Gotham State Penitentiary, and the guards soon discover that is was the Joker. He vows revenge on Batman for his imprisonment, and promises to make him the laughing stock of Gotham City. In the meantime Batman, testing out his new helium spray that is capable of making any object float on the air, is contacted by Commissioner Gordon who alerts Batman to a challenge from the Joker. The Dynamic Duo soon spot a large fire at the junkyard, and suspecting that it is the work of the Joker, go and investigate it. There, they find another clue from the Joker which leads them to a famous Spanish singer, currently performing the famous opera Pagliacci, about a clown. On the opera stage, Batman appears and proceeds to spray laughing gas over the audience, including Commissioner Gordon.
