SZ-FU and LIK-AH quarrel with each other on the case. LING-LEI consoles her and she reveals that she is not living with her husband. The drug factory refuses to increase the compensation to SIU-LAI and LIK-AH finally agrees with SZ-FU to put the case to the court. The drug factory appoints the famous barrister SHING-WONG to be their defense counsel. SHING-WONG hates LIK-AH very much but LIK-AH doesn’t really care. SHING-WONG discovers that his daughter LING-LEI is opening a medical clinic in Sham Shui Po and he goes to visit her angrily. LIK-AH and SZ-FU act intimately on the street. LING-LEI witnesses the scene accidentally and she is devastated. She drives madly and is injured in a car accident. SHING-WONG rushes to the hospital and he requests LIK-AH to talk with him outside the hospital. SHING-WONG reveals all the hardships that LING-LEI has encountered in the past to LIK-AH.
