During an assembly Ayako-san's grandfather asks the entire student body if she has a boyfriend no one speaks up and just as Mamoru-kun is getting ready to speak up Abiko-senpai speaks up loud and clear that he is Ayako-san's boyfriend, and everyone laughs, but Ayako-san's grandfather takes him seriously.
