All the victims are female students, on the corpses the murderer leaves greeting cards. The medical examination finds him insane and sends him to compulsory treatment. Our days. At the institute, where Gordeev's daughter is studying, there is a murder. On the corpse of the student, they find a greeting card. The investigation manages to find out that two weeks ago a maniac managed to escape from a psychiatric hospital, and the victim was not an accidental victim, it was her father who was an investigator in the case of a maniac.
