YUE leads 28 men to break out of the encirclement and reach Wujiang. Looking at the water, YUE thinks of his only defeat in his whole life. Instead of crossing the river and making a comeback, he cuts his throat. LEUNG understands very well that his task has finished, so he leaves causally after saying goodbye to BONG. BONG ascends the throne as emperor, known as Han Gaozu in history.
